Our story

For over 30 years, we have been campaigning passionately to end animal cruelty and advance animal welfare standards in the UK and worldwide.

Through our annual grant programme, we support trusted grassroots organisations that rescue animals, protect them from harm and create lasting change where it is needed most.

Every day, animals suffer as a result of human activity — from exploitation in the illegal pet trade to the devastation caused by conflict, poverty, unnecessary animal testing and wildlife crime.

We believe this must change. We also know that meaningful, long-term change only happens when those on the ground have the support they need. Without reliable funding, vital projects cannot continue and animals are left without care, protection or hope.

Every contribution goes straight to these grants, so your support has a real and immediate impact. We are aiming to raise £50,000+ to continue funding these life-changing projects and to ensure that help is there for animals — not just today, but in the future.

Our five key targets include:

•   £11,000 funds our very popular Pet Rescue Grant, helping animals rescued from the illegal pet trade get the care and protection they need
• £14,000 funds our partnership projects across Eastern Europe, helping animals affected by conflict, poverty and displacement
• £10,000 funds our humane research grant, using modern science to tackle leukaemia without using animals in research
• £10,000 funds our long-standing, competitive World Animal Day ambassador grant, helping people improve animal welfare in their own communities
• £5,000 would launch a new wildlife crime grant, helping protect wild animals from harm.
