Every day, animals are exploited for profit, harmed by crime, displaced by conflict, or left without the care and protection they urgently need. From animals rescued from the illegal pet trade, to wildlife victims and animals affected by poverty and war, your donation can help Naturewatch Foundation get practical support to the people and projects making a difference.

Naturewatch Foundation’s annual grant fund helps turn compassion into action by backing trusted rescuers, frontline welfare organisations, grassroots campaigners and pioneering researchers. Together these grants allow us to reach further, respond faster and build a fairer world for every living creature, but we can’t do it without you.

We’re aiming to raise £50,000 to cover all five grants – and every donation, whatever the size, brings us closer to giving animals the rescue, care, protection and chance at a better life they deserve.

Each grant will support practical work where it is needed most, from urgent rescues and rehabilitation to long-term animal welfare change.

•  £11,000 — rescue and rehabilitation for dogs, cats and rabbits affected by the illegal pet trade.
• £14,000 — emergency aid, veterinary care, shelter and long-term support for stray animals in Eastern Europe.
• £10,000 — our long-standing World Animal Day ambassador grant, helping people improve animal welfare in their own communities through grassroots projects around the world.
• £10,000 — our humane research grant, using modern science to tackle leukaemia without using animals in research
• £5,000 — small, practical grants for wildlife rescues responding to wildlife crime.
